Hmmm... and this, ladies and gentlemen is the famous Belut ( local eel : a kind of fish ) cooked in curry. OMG I tell you these 3 Kg of eel was so nice. Spicy and fresh and the meat was absolutely melt in the mouth. Don't let the reddish look scared you. It was simply wonderful and can't stop eating this. I ate like 4 cups of these eel. Enjoy sial !!

But i thought Eel is best eaten by stemaing it?

Hmm... eel could be cooked by:

Normal cook.
Cooked with gravy.
Cooked with ginger and onion leaves.
Cooked Kong Pow style.
Cooked with curry.
Cooked spicy sial style.
Hmmm many more !!! Slurp !!

In Kota Bharu, one of the more famous and frequent way we eat the eels are as per the photo above.

Most of the foods in Kelantan are greatly influenced by local Malay and Thai cooking style. That is more spicy and hot and curry and Tom Yam like.... omg sedap sial !!

I gave up eating rice, and only use a cups to eat the eels only just to pamper myself. OMG it felt like heaven !! LOL !
